Bushnell, FL- On Tuesday afternoon Florida Highway Patrols stopped a red Dodge Journey for illegal tint. The routine traffic stop ended with the arrest of a Ruskin woman and $1.2 million dollars worth of cocaine being seized.
Elizabeth Espinoza, 27, of Ruskin, was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Cocaine with Intent To Sell, Cocaine Trafficking, and Keeping a Public Nuisance Structure for Drug Activity.
According to FHP, around 12:36pm on Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2020, routine patrolling troopers spotted the 2016 Red Dodge Journey driving southbound on I-75 in Sumter County with illegally tinted windows.
The troopers conducted a traffic stop and Espinoza became overtly nervous. They called in FHP K-9, Flip which alerted the vehicle. The probable cause search ended with 12 kilograms of cocaine being discovered in the dashboard and other voids in the rear of the SUV.
