Arrest Made In Ahmaud Arbery Case

Breaking News- The Georgia Bureau of Investigations (GBI) arrested Gregory McMichael and Travis McMichael in the death of Ahmaud Arbery. Both have been charged with murder and aggravated assault. They have been taken into custody and are awaiting booking in the Glynn County Jail.

A press conference is to be held tomorrow May 8, 2020 at 9 a.m. EST in Brunswick, GA at 1 Conservation Way.

On February 23,2020 Ahmaud Arbery was jogging through his Satilla Shores neighborhood in Brunswick, GA when the McMichaels confronted him with firearms. During this encounter, Arbery was shot and killed by Travis McMichael.

This case is also being investigated by Georgia’s District Attorney Tom Durden.


On May 5, 2020, Attorney Durden formally requested that GBI launch an investigation in the death of Ahmaud Arbery. Investigation was initiated by the Kingsland Office on May 6, 2020.

On April 29, 2020, Glynn County’s Police Department requested investigations of allegations of threats towards the department and individuals involved in an active investigation regarding the Arbery case.
