Death Row Records bought by Hasbro Toy Company

Miami FL– Hasbro Toy Company buys the famous label Death Row Records on Saturday August 24, 2019 for $4 billion dollars according to Dateline.

Death Row Records switched owners multiple times before filing for bankruptcy in 2006. Previous owners of the label have been WIDEawake Entertainment and Entertainment One.

Death Row Records was founded by the iconic Suge Knight and Dr. Dre in 1991. When the label was created and at its peak they signed top hip-hop rappers Tupac and Snoop Dogg. After a few years of lawsuits and many more, founder, Suge Knight was then imprisoned.

Now, the record is owned by Hasbro Toy Company. Hasbro is the worldwide toy and board game company. The company has created Monopoly, My Little Pony, Transformers and many more. Hasbro has showed their interest in Entertainment One’s famous kids brand Peppa Pig. At the same time, the have obtained ownership of Death Row.

The company’s CEO Brian Goldner said that he is looking forward to bettering the family-oriented brand.
