ST. PETERSBURG, FL
The search for Taylen Mosley tragically ended on 3/31/23. The 2 year old was found dead in the
jaws of an alligator! Taylen’s mother, Pashun Jeffery (20 years old) was found stabbed to death in her apartment with over 100 stab wounds! Her baby daddy, Thomas Mosley has been charged with both
murders! He has been arrested and is being detained in the Pinellas County Jail.
Thomas Mosley had just celebrated his 21st birthday the same night as the incident. He had celebrated his birthday at his baby momma Pashun’s house. His family and friends attended the celebration, not knowing this would be the last time that they would see this family together. After his birthday party ended, the arrest affidavit indicates that Thomas fled to his mothers house. He had multiple severe cuts and wounds on his hands and arms, which are consistent with slippage from stabbing his child’s mother to death. Though he went to the hospital that night for his cuts and wounds, he was uncooperative with medical staff when they questioned him about the incident that caused his wounds.
The following day, Pashun’s family came to do a well check on her at her residence at Lincoln
Shores Apartments, in St. Petersburg FL. Upon arrival, they saw a trail of blood leading up to her
apartment. Pashun was found in a pool of blood on her bathroom floor. According to close family
members, this was the first month that Pashun had lived on her own. She had finally got her own apartment for her and her son. She was doing pretty well for herself. Family and friends remember her as having a great personality, always smiling and joking around.
It isn’t specified how the toddler Taylen Mosley died. According to St. Pete police, Thomas threw
or placed his son into Lake Maggiore, which was about 5 to 10 blocks away from his mothers house. The next day following the arrest, a detective said that he had spotted an alligator with an object in its mouth
at Dell Holmes Park. Police Euthanized the animal and retrieved the toddler’s body intact.
As for Thomas Mosley, he is being held without bond on 2 accounts of first degree murder.
Speculations are pointing to mental health issues as the root cause of this
