Authorities in Houston are actively pursuing three individuals believed to be responsible for a targeted shooting incident at a gas station in southeast Houston on Monday night, resulting in the death of one man and serious injuries to another.
The suspects, described as three men dressed in white attire, were captured on surveillance footage arriving at the gas station in two separate vehicles: a silver Dodge Charger and a silver Mercedes Benz. Upon their arrival, they reportedly approached two men exiting the gas station convenience store on South Wayside Drive and preparing to enter a black SUV.
In a swift and targeted attack, the assailants exited their vehicles and opened fire on the victims. Multiple shots were fired by all three suspects before they fled the scene. The motive behind the attack remains unclear, but authorities have labeled it as a deliberate and premeditated act.
Tragically, a 34-year-old man succumbed to his injuries at the scene, while a 29-year-old male companion was rushed to Ben Taub Hospital with life-threatening injuries. Their identities have not been disclosed by the police pending further investigation.
Houston police are urging anyone with information regarding the identities or whereabouts of the suspects to come forward and assist in their apprehension. The investigation into the shooting is ongoing as law enforcement authorities work tirelessly to bring the perpetrators to justice and provide closure to the victims’ families.
