The atmosphere within Teigen’s expanded family has been described as “fantastic.” This year’s growth comes after the couple experienced the loss of their son, Jack, in 2020. Teigen clarified that the loss was due to an abortion to save her own life.
Teigen and Legend initially contacted a surrogacy agency in 2021, expressing interest in two surrogates. However, after a therapy session, Teigen decided to try carrying a child again. She became pregnant with Esti while meeting Alexandra at the same time. Unfortunately, the first embryo implanted in Alexandra did not survive, but she later became pregnant with their second embryo, giving birth to Wren.
Teigen emphasized the importance of creating a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere for everyone in their home, including Alexandra. She wanted her to feel like part of the family, where they could watch TV together and their children could play together. Teigen values the relationship they have and feels fortunate to have maintained it.
Teigen also discussed her preferred approach to surrogacy, which she described as feeling like a village. She believes in spreading and sharing love rather than hoarding it. She expressed happiness with how her and John’s surrogacy journey has turned out, feeling the warmth and love within their extended family.
