Just moments ago, Brittney Griner was found guilty and sentenced to nine years in a Russian prison for possession of cannabis.
Nearly six months ago, Griner was arrested at a Moscow airport for possession of cannabis. Although the cannabis was prescribed by a medical doctor for pain management, Brittney will still spend nearly a decade in prison.
There are now talks of possible prisoner swaps.
